Gilbert Reem

Gilbert Albert " Gibb" Reem age 85 of Crosby died on March 26, 2013 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on January 29, 1928 in Hazelton Township to Charles and Emily (Carlson) Reem. Gibb was US Navy veteran. He married Bernice Christensen on March 2, 1950 in Webster, SD. He was retired for the Operating Engineer Local 49ers with over 20 years of service and an Inland Steel employee. He was a local musician singing and playing his guitar and banjo. He was a member of the Assemble of God Church in Crosby. Survivors include 3 sons, Charles Reem of Brainerd, Steven (Ester) Reem of Palmer, Alaska and James (Lynn) of Crosby; 1 daughter, Kristin (Michael) Lattery of Crosby; 1 sister Marjorie Voltz of Detroit Lakes; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bernice; 1 brother, Ben Reem, and 1 sister Shirley Moe. Funeral services will be 1 pm on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Assembly of God Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township with full military honors by the Myrin- James American Legion Post #443, Ironton and the Patriot Guard. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 am until the time of services. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
