Gordon Hubert Nanik

Gordon Hubert Nanik age 82 of Crosby died on May 15, 2012 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on September 27, 1929 in Crosby to Jacob and Ruth (Dahlvang) Nanik. Gordon married Antoinette Margaret Deblock on September 25, 1954 in Crosby. He was a Korean War Marine Corp Veteran. In 1954 they moved from Crosby to San Diego, CA retiring to Show Low, AZ in 1989 and then returned to Crosby in 2006. He was a Life member of the VFW Post #3787 in San Diego, CA, and American Legion Post #86 in Overgaard, AZ. Survivors include in wife, Antoinette; 3 sisters, Dorothy Magdich of San Diego, CA, Shirley (Donald) Bobich of Aurora, OH and Geraldine (Bruce) Bestul of Victorville, CA. Preceding him in death are his parents and his cousin, Clifford Smith. Funeral services will be 11 am on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby, military honors will be given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton. Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 4 to 7 pm and 1 hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
