Gwen Reagan
February 9, 1953 — March 23, 2013
Gwen Mary Reagan age 60 of Cuyuna died on March 23, 2013 at her home after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Crosby on February 9, 1953 to Herbert and Margaret (Rhodes) Whaley. She grew up in the Lakeview area of Crosby. She was a Crosby-Ironton High School graduate, class of 1971. She met her lifelong partner Mitch at the age of 14, they were married on March 11, 1972 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Gwen was employed with the Brainerd Highway Department, and later Cargill, Inc. where she retired in January of 2012. After retirement her and Mitch moved to their retirement home on Agate Lake in Cuyuna.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Mitch; 1 son, Craig (Amy) Reagan of New Hope; 1 daughter, Laura Laux on Minnetonka; 1 brother, Doug Whaley of Deerwood; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Laux, Sam Laux, Jack Laux, Liam Reagan, and Sydney Reagan.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 1 to 4 pm with a prayer service at 3:30 pm. If so desired memorial are Preferred to the Jesse F. Hallett Memorial Library.
