Harold George Countryman

Harold George Countryman age 87 of Ironton died on October 3, 2015 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on January 3, 1928 in Crosby to George and Sarah (Jelen) Countryman. Harold was a WWII Army veteran. He married Reva Jones on December 31, 1953 and later married Mary Ann Kubesh on September 14, 1975 in Beroun.
Harold is survived by his wife Mary Ann; daughter, Susan (Daniel) Nelson of Princeton; step-daughter, Mary (Rudy) Vernaglia of Andover; 1 sister, Laverne "Toots" Bell of Brooklyn Park; 4 grandchildren, 1 step grandson and 5 great grandchildren.
Preceding Harold in death are his father, mother and step father, Ralph Freeman; 1st wife, Reva Countryman in 1970; 1 son, David Countryman in 1999; and his 2 sisters, June Howay and Myrtle Lamphere.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors presented by the Myrin-James American Legion Post of Ironton. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Wednesday.
