Hartvick 'Vic" Teslow
January 13, 1929 — July 5, 2016
Hartvick "Vic" Teslow age 87 of Crosby formerly of Emily died on July 5, 2016 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on January 13, 1929 in Crystal to Maurice and Eleanore (Allen) Teslow. Vic was a WWII Navy Veteran. He served in the Occupation of Japan, and trained with the Marines for 3 months for Special Forces in Tsingtao, China. Vic was employed as a construction superintendent for Ganley Company in Minneapolis for 15 years. He loved the northwoods. He lived in the Emily-Outing Area for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Vic is survived by four sons, Terrance (Ellie) Teslow of Baltimore, MD, Deane Teslow of Redding, CA; stepsons, Everett Havenor and Bruce (Mary) Havenor all of Las Cruces, NM; two daughters, Nancy (Joe) Williams of Sartell and Susan (Randy) Osborne of Keller, TX; daughter-in-law, Teri Teslow of Green Valley, AZ; one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" White of Elk River; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Vic in death are his parents; his wife Simone in 2006; one son, Leigh; two brothers, Robert and Budrick Teslow; two sisters, Dolly Johnson and Eleanore Fricke; and daughter-in-law, Linda Havenor.
Funeral services will be 11 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Wesleyan Church in Emily. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily with full military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
