Isabelle Busby

Isabelle Georgia Busby age 100 of Pine River formerly of Outing died on July 11, 2014 at Essentia St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. She was born on February 8, 1914 in Minneapolis to Homer " Daniel" and Iva (Pittard) Harris. She married Orville Vernon Busby on August 20, 1932 in Minneapolis.
Isabelle was a member of the Narrows Community Church in Outing; the Longville-Outing Senior Citizens Club; 55 Alive; Cass County Board on Aging; Cass County Historical Society; Longville "Young at Heart" Club, serving as president; and the Medicine Lake Community Club. She was Outstanding Senior Citizen for Cass County in 1989.
Survivors include 3 sons, Wendel Busby of Pine River, David (Charlene) Busby of Commerce City, CO, and Daniel (Vickie) Busby of Center City; 4 daughters, Loralee Edlund of Battle Lake, Cathie (Michael) Molde of Wayzata, Connie (Donald) Anderson of Princeton and Cindy Busby of Grand Rapids; 1 sister, Betty Waldron of Pine River; 2 daughters-in-law, Judith Busby of Lincoln, IL; sister-in-law Betty Harris of Spring Lake Park; Twenty nine grandchildren and forty four great grandchildren and Eight great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband Orville in 1993; 1 daughter, Eleanor Jakubik, 1 son, Orville Busby; 1 brother, Fred Harris; 1 sister, Jeanne Tucker and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Narrows Community Church in Outing. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the 11 am service.
