James Gary Gutenkauf

James Gary Gutenkauf, age 79 of Crosby passed away on September 1, 2024 at the Woodland Good Samaritan in Brainerd.  He was born on April 9, 1945 in Crosby to William and Alma (Tholen) Gutenkauf.  Jim married Linda Wood on September 5, 1964 in Crosby.

Jim is survived by his  wife of 60 years, Linda; one son, Gary (Emily) Gutenkauf of Brainerd; one daughter, Gina (John) Larson of Elk River; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Preceding Jim in death are his parents; three brothers, William, John and Roger Gutenkauf; and two sisters, Lena Lindquist and Marie Hunner.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Burial will be at the Fairfield Township Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
