James Allen Laborde

James Allen LaBorde, age 62 of Fairfield Township died at his home on April 9, 2022.  He was born on January 6, 1960 in Crosby to George and Phyllis (Olander) LaBorde.  Jim married Kathryn Harren on August 25, 1979 in Emily.  He was the former owner of LaBorde Plumbing and Heating.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 346 in Duluth.  Jim enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kathy; his son, Luke LaBorde of Crosby; his daughter, September LaBorde of Crosby; two brothers, William (Julie) LaBorde of Crosby, Randy LaBorde of Breezy Point; four sisters, Marilyn (Gene) Moritz of Crosby, Dianna Erickson of CA, Wendy Johnson of Deerwood and Judy (Greg) Steinke of Deerwood; and five grandchildren.

Preceding Jim in death are his parents; and one brother George LaBorde Jr. “Louie”.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Fairfield Township Cemetery.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
