Jay Arden Ecklund

Jay Arden Ecklund age 57 of Emily died on January 27, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. He was born on January 5, 1956 in Aitkin to Marvin and Twila (Klingelhofer) Ecklund. Jay was a US Marine Corp Veteran. He is a retired captain with the Minnesota National Guard, 136 Infantry Unit. He is survived by his father, Marvin Ecklund of Aitkin; 1 son, Jes Ecklund of Cuyuna; 1 daughter, Lindsay (Chad) Nichols of Cuyuna; 2 brothers, Guy (Tawny Bruar) Ecklund of Aitkin; Matt (Tanya) Ecklund of Elk River; 7 sisters, Barbe (Bruce) Hite of Emily, Marva Lasher of Nisswa, Cindy Ecklund of Seward Alaska, Kristi Ecklund of St. Cloud, Lois Ecklund of Glendale, AZ, Lori (Dan) Moore of Thornton, Co and Shelli (Mike) Graham of Sauk Rapids; and five grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his mother and 1 brother, Kole Ecklund. A Memorial service will be held 11 am on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Camp Ripley Chapel in Little Falls. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call 1 hour Prior to the services on Monday at the Chapel. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
