Jeannette Carol Fairbanks, age 90 of Outing, passed away at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd on July 5, 2026. She was born in St. Paul on November 16, 1935 to Gerald and Carol (Jensen) Berry. Jeannette married Charles Fairbanks Jr. on April 16, 1955 in Outing.
Jeannette was employed with Outing Lumber and Gift Gallery and Lake Country Properties in Outing for several years. Jeanette had a deep love for her faith and family. She was a member and the “heart” of the Narrows Community Church in Outing for many years. She had a deep love for her dog Zoe. She attended church with Jeannette and everybody loved her. She was a very dedicated daughter and wife, caring for her parents and husband during their last years.
Jeannette is survived by four sons, Leonard (Jill) Fairbanks of Outing, Douglas Fairbanks of Brooklyn Park, Daniel Fairbanks of Outing and Richard Fairbanks of Faribault; two brothers, Marvin Berry of Outing and M. John (Jean) Berry of Apple Valley; three sisters, Colleen Sabin of Spring Lake Park, Beverly Ellingson of St. Michael and Darla (Kevin) Carlson of Longville; ten grandchildren and Thirteen great grandchildren.
Preceding Jeannette in death is her husband; one brother, Gerald Berry; and one sister, Barbara Bottineau
A Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on August 2, 2026 at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily. A reception will follow at the Pickled Loon Saloon in Emily. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
