Jeffrey Edward Leonard

Jeffrey Edward Leonard, age 65 of Ironton, passed away on February 21, 2026 at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born on August 22, 1960 in Crosby to Franklin and Betty (Vaars) Leonard.

Jeff graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1978 and Brainerd Technical College with an auto mechanic degree. He had a career with Crosby Manufacturing and then Lindar Corporation, where he retired in August 2025 with 15 years of service. Jeff played hockey in his earlier years, and softball and bowling for many years. He enjoyed watching sports, especially his beloved Minnesota Vikings. Jeff was a retired member of the Ironton Fire Dept.

Jeff is survived by his brothers, John (Jill) Leonard of Crosby and Tim (Cheryl) Leonard of Ironton; his sister Lori (Mike) Lorence of Brooklyn Park; nieces and nephews, Valerie (Patrick Jones) Leonard, Reed (Melissa) Leonard, Michelle (Brock) Shuda, Jenifer (Terry) Burrell, Polly Cwiklik, Hailey Lorence, Devan (Lisa) Gundry, Kailie (Cameron Smith) Gundry, and Kalley (Levi) Cartie; great nieces and nephews, Alex, Ava, Ella, Sloan, Joey, Andrew, Hunter, Heath, Tommy, Peter, Simon, Sawyer, William, Shiloh and Wyatt.

Preceding Jeff in death are his parents; two brothers, Greg and Ricky Leonard and nephew, Calvin Leonard.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby, with a memorial gathering following at the Myrin-James American Legion Post in Ironton from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All are invited to both. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
