Jerome Martin Lerom

October 1, 1941 — October 9, 2024

Jerry Lerom, 83, passed away peacefully October 9, 2024.  He was born in Grand Forks, ND to Millard and Clara Lerom.  Jerry spent his growing up years in Buxton, ND.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia College and it was there that he met his wife of 60 years, Ruth.

He started his career as a math and science teacher and retired as a Principal in the Anoka Hennepin School District. After retirement, Jerry and Ruth would snowbird between the cabin in Longville, MN and Winter Haven, FL.  During the summer months he was very involved in lake and lake shore conservation activities.  He was President of the Long Lake Association as well as President of the Association of Cass County Lakes.

Jerry had a strong faith and was actively involved in church related activities and leadership positions.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  Spending time with his children and grandchildren was very special to him.

Jerry is survived by sons; Steven Lerom, Paul (Jackie) Lerom and Jeffrey (Mary) Lerom; grandchildren Kirsten (Chad) Reswik, Abby (Levi) Cann, Jake Lerom, Samuel Lerom, Malakaie Milne, and Rowen Lerom; brother Ron Lerom.

A Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood (21276 Archibald Rd.).  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Entombment will be at the Salem Lutheran Church Columbarium in Longville on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
