Joan M. Foote

Joan Mary (Raymond) Foote age 82 of Crosby died on August 4, 2014 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on May 24, 1932 in Crosby to Milton and Ione (Burau) Raymond. She graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 1950. She married Eugene (Gene) LeRoy Foote on July 15, 1950 in Deerwood. Joan was a member of the Crosby-Ironton Presbyterian Church in Crosby; member of the Evergreen Chapter #204, Crosby, and Woodland Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #122, Aitkin; Past Grand Warder of the Grand Chapter of Minnesota Order of Eastern Star; Past President of the Grand Representative Association of the Order of Eastern Star, and the Myrin-James American Legion Auxiliary, post 443 of Ironton

Joan is survived by children, Julie Foote Hatzung, (Steve), Cindy Foote Nelson, (Barry), Lonny L. Foote, (Jody Elam-Foote), Scott Foote, (Lisa Salzl); Grandchildren Jon Michael Nelson, (Laura), Brian LeRoy Nelson, (Kendall), Andrew Foote Hatzung, Nicholas Foote Hatzung, Griffin Foote Solari, Isaac Salzl Foote, Ian Salzl Foote; Great-grandchildren Lily, Hannah, Brenna, Kara, and Kaleb Nelson. Brothers Gerald (Jackie) Raymond and Rodney (Coleen) Raymond.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Gene in 2010 and infant daughter, Loxie Foote in 1951.

Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby following the service. Visitation will be on Friday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5 to 8 pm with an Eastern Star service at 7 pm. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
