Joan Haagberg

February 13, 1930 — May 14, 2024

Joan Louise (Seely) Hagberg, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 surrounded by her family.  Per Joan's request, a small family gathering will be held at a later date to commemorate her life.

Joan was born the third of seven children to Jess and Ethel (Nichols) Seely on February 13th, 1930 in Staples.  She graduated from C-I where she'd met her future husband, Charles.

Many of their years were spent in Madison, WI where they were very active in the AG church.  The Hagbergs' hospitality was unparalleled, usually inviting their "College and Career" pupils to dinner at their home on Sundays.

The Hagbergs "migrated back up-stream" to the Northwoods where they eventually retired from their Design and Consulting firms.  They stayed very busy "making music" at local nursing homes for many years.

Joan was "the hostess with the most-est", thrived on human interaction, and could "make a party out of nothing at all".  She is sorely missed by her adoring family.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and son, Timothy.

Joan is survived by her brother, Russell (Jeannie) Seely of Casselton, ND, children Marta Hill of Crosby, Roxanne Schara of Fitchburg, WI, Wade (Maribeth) Hagberg of Sauk Rapids, Blenda Hagberg of Crosby, and many great-great-/great-/grandchildren.

Arrangements are with Koop Funeral Home of Crosby.
