John A. Christensen

John A. Christensen, age 65 of Deerwood died on April 19, 2022 at his home.  He was born in Crosby on December 14, 1956 to Chester and Alice (Duzan) Christensen.  He married Sharon Workman on March 2, 1999 in Las Vegas, NV.  He was known in Deerwood as the “King”.  He was a former employee with Trus Joist/Weyerhaeuser and Magnum Machining in Deerwood.

John was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his wife Sharon; four sons, Mike (Laura) Workman of Cuyuna, Jeremy Christensen of St. Cloud, John Christensen Jr. of Deerwood and Steven Christensen of Crosby; one brother, Ronald (Mary Lee) Christensen of Deerwood; two sisters, Dee (Lester) Chileen of Crosby, Lois Bayliss of Crosby and Pauline (Roger) Johnson of Sartell; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor and Michaella.

Preceding John in death are his parents; four brothers, Harvey, Bill, Doug and Dave Christensen and two sisters, Linda Christen and Betty Stirewalt.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
