John Robert Grater

John Robert Grater, age 85 of Baxter died at his home on December 8, 2023.  He was born on December 6, 1938 in Clear Lake, TX to Jerry and Monic (Drain) Grater.  John married Cheri Sipper in Fairfield, CA on August 29, 1970

John is survived by his wife Cheri; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Beth Burnard) Sipper of Brainerd and Tim (Sue) Sipper of Lake Shore; his aunt, Maggie Drain; nephews, Jason Knott, Ryan Sipper and Paul Sipper; and niece, Kelly Sipper.

Preceding John in death are his parents and brother-in-law, Randy Sipper.

Although we are saddened by John’s passing, memories of his kindness, generosity, and humorous saying will always bring a smile to all who knew him.  His family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for the care they gave to John, it was deeply appreciated.

No services are being held.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
