John Harvey Oliver

John Harvey Oliver age 81 of Belgrade died on August 20, 2018 at the Belgrade Nursing Home.

He was born on January 17, 1937 in St. Paul to Charles and Elsie (Wersinger) Oliver.  He married Kathleen Kimball on December 5, 1964 in Aitkin. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. John farmed at the Art Peterson farm in Grove City for 35 years.  He also worked at Jennie O Turkey Processing Plant in Willmar. He retired to his hobby farm in Belgrade in 1991.

John is survived by his wife Kathleen; two sons, Jeff (Connie) Oliver of Belgrade and Stacey Oliver of St. Cloud; one daughter, Debbie Hines of Albany; five sisters, Dorothy Franzen of Baxter, Carol Wood of Brainerd, Lorraine Splettstoeszer of Brainerd, Jane (Greg) Johnson of Apple Valley and Ruth (Keith) Hausman of Windson Heights, Iowa; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Preceding John in death are his parents; two sisters, Mary Lindgren and Betty Langman; one grandson, Jason Oliver and a great grandson, Roscoe Sietsema.

A Memorial Gathering will be 11:00 a.m. to 2:00p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  Military honors will be given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton.
