John Howard Pribyl

John Howard Pribyl age 52 of Fifty Lakes died on August 23, 2014 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on in Crosby on February 18, 1962 to Ernest and Henrietta (Suek) Pribyl Jr. John graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 1980. He continued his education at the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, where he earned a degree in drafting. He owned John Pribyl Inc., where he designed thousands of homes over the last 30 years. He loved to hunt, enjoyed the outdoors fishing, boating and riding his motorcycle, as well as spending time with his boys. He coached youth boy’s basketball at Crosby-Ironton for many years. He also created One Horse Productions, which brought many people’s dreams of creating music alive. John enjoyed performing locally and was a large part of the musical performances in our community. His passion for music and songwriting has left us all with many wonderful memories and his talents and outlook will continue to be an inspiration to all of those who knew him. He is survived by 3 boys, Joshua, Tyler and Wyatt all of Crosby; his mother, Henrietta; 1 brother, Joseph (Jane) Pribyl of Shoreview and 2 sisters, Anita (Peter) Anderson of Aitkin, and Kathy (Kevin) Stromberg of Aitkin. He is preceded in death by his father Ernie. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, August 29, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday at the Deerwood Auditorium from 4 to 8 pm. Any musician that would like to share their music, is invited to do so at the auditorium on Friday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
