John Theodore Schones age 61 of Garrison died on February 14, 2012 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. He was born on January 13, 1951 in Wabasha, MN to John and Mildred (Giesler) Schones. John was a retired employee of the Grand Casino. Survivors include his children, Julie (Jim) Rodden, John (Christine) Schones, Lisa Schones and Laura Schones; his grandchildren, Brent and Hunter Rodden, Carissa Schones and Maria Schones; his mother, Mildred Schones; Siblings, Rosella Schones, Mary Lehmann and Janice Darsow. Funeral services will be 11 am on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Community Alliance Church in Garrison. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
