Joseph Mathew Landowski

Joseph Mathew Landowski age 91 of Emily died on May 24, 2015 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on March 15, 1924 in Pierz to Michael and Caroline (Otremba) Landowski. Joe was a WWII Army veteran. Joe married Celeste Stockard on September 2, 1950. He was a former employee of Potlatch Paper Company, Hanna Mining Co. and a streetcar motorman in Minneapolis. He was a member of St. Emily's Catholic Church.
Joe is survived by his wife Celeste; 1 son, Mark (Michelle) Landowski of Emily; 1 daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Hesse of New Ulm; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; 3 brothers, Al, Mike, and Jerome Landowski; and 1 sister Delores Smith.
Funeral services will be 11 am on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St. Emily's Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily with military honors presented by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton. Visitation will be on Wednesday at St. Emily's from 4 to 7 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm. and on Thursday 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
