Joseph R. Miller

Joseph Richard Miller, age 68 of Woodbury died on September 2, 2019 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis due to complications associated with a broken hip.  He was born on December 28, 1950 in St. Paul to Donald and Anna (Duffy) Miller. He was U.S. Army Veteran.  Joe married Donna Rosier on January 10, 1973 in St. Paul. He was a retired employee with the Minnesota Department of Corrections with 30 years of service.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Maplewood and the Minnesota Chief Engineers Guild.

Joe is survived by his wife Donna; two daughters, Christina (Jay) Landree of Aitkin and Dr. Lynda Miller of New Tazewell, TN; five brothers, Patrick (Mary) Miller of Hastings, Michael (Annie) Miller of Lindstrom, Don Miller of Lindstrom, Dennis (Terri) Miller of Salvisa, KY and Kenneth (Jackie) Miller of Cottage Grove; four sisters, Marge (Rick) Hayek of Lake Elmo, Mary Johnson of Hinkley, Theresa Jackelen of Black River Falls, WI; and Katie (Mark Uner) Mack of North Branch; one favorite grandchild, Katelyn “Squirrel” Landree; Brothers-in-law, Roy Rosier of Oakdale and Vern Rosier of St. Paul; Sister-in-law, Terri Griner of Oak Grove; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Joe in death are his parents.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the Koop Funeral Home with a Sharing of Memories at 2:30 p.m.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery followed by a reception at the Ironton Legion.

If so desired memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
