Judith Carol Duerr

Judith Carol Duerr age 66 of Hazelwood Township, beloved wife, mother and friend lost her long battle with ovarian cancer on August 29, 2013. She was born on December 27, 1946 in St. Paul to Otto and Catherine (Martin) Finch. Judy married Arnold Joseph Duerr on September 18, 1965 in St. Paul. Judy and Arnie were partners in Duerr Decorating. She is an avid quilter, scrapbooker and loved to cook for family and friends. She attended St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin. A special thank you to Wednesday Friends and the Ambulatory Unit at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center for their loving support and care. Survivors include her husband Arnold " Arnie"; 4 daughters, Angela (Chuck Minor) Kubat, Anita (Steve) Soper, Andrea (Kevin Zasmeta) Schoonover and Amanda ( Andy Kinnear) Duerr; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Stevie, Kory, Jordan, and Morgan; 1 brother, Gene Finch; and 3 sisters, Mary Jo (Gary) Newman, Barbara (Bud) Vasterling and Theresa (Gene) Binder. Preceding her in death are her parents and 1 brother, Richard Finch. Funeral services will be 11 am on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin. Burial will be at the Bennettville Cemetery in Hazelwood Township on Wednesday. Friends may call at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Monday, from 4 to 8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
