Judith Kay Miller age 70 of Fifty Lakes died on September 10, 2013 at her home. She was born on December 5, 1942 in Houston, MN to Oren and Madonna (McNabo) Loken. Judy was a member of the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake; the Minnesota Citizen Concerned for Life and a former Crow Wing County Chairperson. She was a retired postal clerk at the Fifty Lakes and Manhattan Beach Post Offices. Judy was an avid gardener both at home and at Our Ladies Garden at the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church and the Nisswa Garden Club. Survivors include her husband Michael Herman; 2 sons, Dan (Debbie) Miller of Crosslake, Chris (Marine) Miller of Portland, Maine; 2 step sons, Matthew (Jennie) Herman of Elk River and Christopher (Sarah) Herman of Princeton; 1 brother, Butch (Barb) Loken of Holman, WI; 3 sisters, Cathy (Milt) Willigallie of Lakeville, Becky (Randy) Savey of Jenkins and Vicky (Kevin) Flagal of Austin, TX; 3 grandchilden, Marissa, Allie and Emeric Miller; 6 step grandchildren, Mikela, Madison, Nash, Ethen, Cole, Kegan Herman. Preceding her in death are her parents and 1st husband Donald G. Miller. Funeral services will be 11 am on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Judy touched many lives she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
