Julia Ann "Julie" Allord

Julia Ann “Julie” (Larson) Allord, age 70 of Brainerd, passed away on August 19, 2026 at the Fairview University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born on May 25, 1956 in Breckenridge to John Fredrick and Mary Lou (Nold) Larson.

Julie was a retired employee of Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd and Brainerd Medical Center. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brainerd.

Julie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved spending time with friends and family, whether with a home cooked meal or a dinner out on the town. She was involved in St. Andrew’s church and was known for her dessert trays she provided to church events. She loved her home in rural Brainerd with the sprawling property. In the mornings she enjoyed a strong cup of coffee and relaxing in her loveseat with her long time four-legged baby, Fritzy. They would watch the birds in the many bird feeders in the yard. Julie looked forward to vacationing in Arizona during the winters. The desert weather was very desirable for her body.

Julie is survived by her husband, Mike Huesmann; sons, Mike Huesmann of Huntington, WV and Matt (Ally Kingsbury) Huesmann of Ironton; her sisters, Paula Higgins of Sun City, AZ and Janet (Al Torgerson) Larson of Deerwood; and one niece, Lauren.

Preceding Julie in death are her parents.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brainerd. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be the St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery in St. Mathias. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
