June Marie Rono

June Marie Rono, age 71 of Brainerd, passed away on May 14, 2024 at Essential St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. She was born on June 10, 1952 in St. Paul to Kenneth and June (Carlsen) Haaland.

June is survived by four daughters, Krista Rono of Brainerd, Kamilla Rono of Glendive, MT, Jennifer Rono of Motley, and Jolene (Soloman) Nganga of St. Cloud; one sister, Emily Gudim of N. St. Paul, and three grandchildren.

Preceding June in death are her parents; her husband Roger Rono; one son, Michael Paul Rono; and one brother, Kenneth Sanders Haaland.

A Memorial Gathering will be at the Crosby Park on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.

The family asks that anyone who attends the memorial please wear bright, fun colors. The memorial is also pot luck and it would be appreciated if you can bring a dish that she liked or that reminds you of her.
