Kay L Cooper

Kay L. Cooper, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. She was born on January 16, 1936, in Hager City, Wisconsin.

Kay devoted much of her life to caring for others as a nurse, a profession that reflected her compassionate heart, patience, and deep commitment to helping those in need. Her kindness touched many lives throughout the years.

Kay shared her life with her husband, Robert D. Cooper Sr. for 64 years, and together they built a family centered on love, faith, and support for one another. She was a devoted mother to Robert Cooper Jr., William (Laurie) Cooper.

She was a proud grandmother to Robert (Kelsey) Cooper III, Lauren (Chas Gyory) Cooper and Billy (Maggie) Cooper. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Harrison Cooper, Theodore Cooper, and Ella Jane Gyory, who brought her great joy.

Kay was a longtime and faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she generously gave her time volunteering with the church’s Salem West Outreach Ministries, helping serve others in the community.

Kay will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her family will deeply miss her, but they take comfort in the many memories they shared and the lasting example of kindness, faith, and compassion that she leaves behind.

No services are being held. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
