Kenneth Ronald Olds

Kenneth Ronald Olds age 70 of Outing died on January 7, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1945 in Beulah Township to Ralph A. and Florence (Roberts) Olds. Ken went to the Remer Elementary School and the Northland High School. He married Frances A. Nutz on December 3, 1966 in St. Paul. They lived in Roseville for 2 years working as a fabricator at Plastic Inc. They then moved up north. He had several jobs, but his main love was tending bar. He started bartending in 1969 at the Arrowhead, which became the Broken Arrow. He was a bartender for 38 years retiring in 2007. Ken also did some logging on the side.

Ken is survived by his wife Fran; Two daughters, Tabbatha (Dusty) Weistroffer and Heather Mitlyng (Dan Johnson); six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; One brother, Douglas (Donna) Olds; 2 sisters, Shirley (Ken) Westcott and Kathy (Victor) Harvet. Preceding Ken in death are his parents; five brothers, Richard, Russell, Theodore, Gene and Roger Olds; one sister, Sherry Olds and Son-in-law, Brad Mitlyng.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Wesleyan Church in Emily. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 7 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm and also 1 hour prior to the services all at the Wesleyan Church in Emily. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
