Kevin Lee Nelson

Kevin Lee Nelson, a simple, private man passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026. Born August 6, 1960, Kevin didn’t care about the trappings of the world; he lived by his own compass, happiest with a fishing pole in his hand and a cold beer nearby.

Kevin was honest, kind, and a jack of all trades. He spent most of his life looking out for everyone else before himself, always worrying about others while asking for almost nothing in return. If you asked him what he needed, he’d give you his favorite motto: "I don't ask for much out of life: just a little beer money, just a little grocery money, and every now and then, just a little"!

Though never married, he carried a strong love for the women in his life—with a longtime friend becoming his soulmate to share the last four years at his side.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Quadie and Lois; brother, Greg; and son, Daniel Lee. His legacy will be carried on by his daughters, Robin (Stephen) and Lea as well as grandchildren Jameson, Michael, La’Mya, and Donny; brother, Michael (JJ) and sister, Julie (Brad); sister-in-law, Jeanne, and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of tears, Kevin would ask you to crack open a cold one, tell a loved one you care, play chase with a dog, watch a Western movie or The Rockford Files, or drop a fishing line in his honor! A celebration of his life will be held at a future date TBD.
