Kevin Jay Wendorff

was born on July 23, 1962 and born again in the water and Word of Holy Baptism at Trinity Lutheran Church - Farmington, MN on August 5, 1962.  This made him a Child and heir of Jesus Christ.  He later confirmed his faith in the triune God on March 27, 1977 at Trinity Lutheran Church - St. Francis, MN.

Kevin Jay Wendorff, of Crosby, at the age of 62 went to be with His Lord and to collect on the promises of God on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Kevin graduated from St. Francis High School in 1980.  His employment began as a cook at various restaurants, then at Temroc Metals and H & F Manufacturing as a machinist.  Kevin explored the commercial trucking industry which became his passion and turned into a lifetime career as an over the road truck driver.  His last employer was J. R. Schugel of New Ulm.

Kevin’s faith in the Lord was strong as he enjoyed reading his bible on and off the road. He proudly displayed his cross of our crucified Savior from his semi rear view mirror.   Another testimony of his faith was a truck filled with stuffed animal frogs!  When asked about these frogs, he simply stated “F.R.O.G. stands for Forever Rely on God.”  He also carried a leather wallet that was engraved “Man of God.”

Kevin enjoyed playing guitar, cribbage, shooting pool, riding motorcycle and mechanical work.

Kevin is survived by his father, Cyrus Wendorff (Darlyne Ernst) of Deerwood; his mother, Marian Wendorff of Crosby; three sons, Dusten Wendorff of Brainerd, Daniel (Jessica Giesselman) Wendorff of Fairbanks, AK, Devin Wendorff; and daughter Kyla Wendorff; one brother Ron (Scott Ruffing) Wendorff; and one sister Michele (Michael) Haas of Crosby/Zimmerman; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington, MN. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service. Burial at the Arlington Public Cemetery and a luncheon will follow the service.
