Laverne Thomas Booth

LaVerne "Vern" T. Booth Sr. age 80 of Crosby died on August 8, 2014 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on November 6, 1933 in Perry Lake Township to William and Myrtle (Murphy) Booth. Vern was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a Minnesota National Guards man. He is a retired Bus Driver for C-I Transportation and a former employee of Woodland Container in Aitkin.
He is survived by 3 sons, Bruce (Mariam) Booth of Springfield, OH, Michael Booth of Williston, ND and Bradly (Adele) of Pine Grove, CA; 2 daughters, Brenda (Rob) Thompson of Louisiana and 1 sister, Jackie (Shawn) Hatch of Williston, ND; 1 brother, Duane (Betty) Booth of Malmo and May Lou Hamilton of Anoka; Fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Geraldine; 1 son LaVerne Booth Jr. and brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Bible Baptist Church in Crosby. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
