Laverne H. "Verne" Pankratz

LaVerne H. “Verne” Pankratz age 71 of Crosby died on November 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 26, 1946 in Mountain Lake, MN to Henry and Martha (Adrian) Pankratz. Verne married Bryce Gilbaugh on October 4, 1968 in Fairmont, MN. He was a Public Works employee for Mountain Lake, Crosby and Hopkins. Verne was a former fireman in Mountain Lake and Crosby. He was a former Cuyuna Lakes Chamber Member and a former owner of Pankratz Trucking Company in Crosby.
Verne is survived by his wife, Bryce; one son, Shayne (Trista) Pankratz of Brainerd; one daughter, Kayla (Scott) Johnson of Otsego; one brother, Dale (Carol) Pankratz of Mountain Lake; one sister, Roslyn (Don) Jenkins of Fridley; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Verne in death are his parents.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Life Spring Church in Crosby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
