Lavonn Jane Reeves

November 30, 1932 — November 30, 2021

Lavonn J. Reeves of Wayzata, formerly of Bay Lake Township, passed away on March 21, 2022 at age 89. Lavonn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eldon, and her parents, George and Selma Spielman.

Lavonn spent her early years growing up on a farm with her parents and younger sister before moving into town to attend high school. After graduating high school and while working as a telephone operator, Lavonn met and married the love of her life, Eldon. They raised their two children in the cities, then moved to their lake home to enjoy retirement.

Her hobbies and interests included family, sewing, gardening, fishing, cooking, baking and square dancing.  She also enjoyed the friendly competition of league bowling, league golf and playing Bridge. As a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lavonn volunteered both her time and her talent of sewing.  Her generous spirit, sense of humor and passion for life will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Lavonn is survived by her son, Craig (Colleen) Reeves; daughter, Renee (Robert) Northway; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Leora (Sherwin) Cohrs; nieces and nephew, and their families.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 23, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 21276 Archibald Rd, Deerwood, MN with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be at the Bay Lake Township Cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
