Leonard L. Johnson age 86 of Greenwood Village, CO died on October 8, 2015 at the Cuyuna Regioanl Care Center in Crosby. Len was born on March 1, 1929 in Minneapolis to Einer and Merna (Olson) Johnson. He graduated from the U of M in 1951. Len played baseball and hockey for the U of M. He married Patt Sipper on February 28, 1953 at the Little Brown Church in the Valle. He was a zone sales manager of Proctor and Gamble, a product group manager of General Mills, vice-president of sales and marketing for the Hamm's Brewing Co., director of sales and marketing for the Toro Company and he was the owner of the L.L. Johnson Distributing Co and Midwest Turf and Irrigation Co. He was a great father, awesome grandfather and the best great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patt; 3 sons, Jay Johonson of Littleton, CO, Jerry (Mariola) Johnson of Deerwood and James (Judy) Johnson of Littleton, CO; 1 daughter, Judy (Gary) Hammerlund of Littleton, CO; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Len is preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter Jean Mudgett in 1987 and 1 brother, Robert Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood, MN. Burial will be at the Chapel Hills Cemetery in Littleton, CO. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
