Lester Vernon Carr

Lester Vernon Carr age 90 of Aitkin died on May 17, 2016 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on September 18, 1925 in Aitkin to Ernest and Ella (Hall) Carr. Lester was co owner and was a sales and service agent with North East Mack Truck in Duluth. In 1976 they moved to their home on Pickerel Lake in Fairfield Township.
Lester is survived by five children: Jean (Allen) Tuve of Crosby, Marilyn Barnstorf of Crosby, Lorraine (Ronald) Carlson of Duluth, James Carr of Emily and Marlys (Mark) Millsop of Crosby; one brother, Lloyd (Florence) Carr of Port Angeles, WA; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Preceding Lester in death are his parents; his wife, Doris; one brother, Lauren Carr and two sisters, Bernice Glasgow and Wilma Holder.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
