Marc Alan Venter

Marc Alan Venter age 62 of Brainerd died on March 10, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 22, 1953 in Waterloo, IA to Arnold and Dorthy (Spiegel) Venter. Marc married Laurie Yockey on June 30, 1972 in Waterloo, IA. Marc was a retired V.P. of sales at Waterloo Industries. He moved to Eagle Lake in 2006 after retiring. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood and was active with Salem West, the church council and the Cuyuna Range Lions Club.
Marc is survived by his wife Laurie; one daughter, Jennifer Beninga of Maple Grove; two grandchildren, Alec and Andrew Beninga (the love of Marc's life); one brother, Dale (Carolsue) Venter of Melbourne, FL; three sisters, Pat Huting, Linda (Jim) Springer and Carol (Ron) Gatewood all of Cedar Falls, IA.
Preceding Marc in death are his parents and one brother, Craig Venter.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to the Salem Lutheran Church Building Fund. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
