Marco Michael Lubovich

Marco Michael Lubovich age 92 of Crosby died peacefully on December 29, 2016 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on June 26, 1924 in Crosby to Mike and Anna (Raijc) Lubovich. He was a WWII Army veteran. Marco was a retired heavy equipment operator for Pittsburgh Pacific and took part in projects in Greenland, Alaska, Africa and Vietnam. After living in Chisholm for 43 years, Marco returned to Ironton in 2013 to be with family.
Marco is survived by one brother, Vernon “Bunny” (Lucille) Lubovich of Auburn, CA; one sister, Margaret Burton of Brainerd; nieces, nephews and Josephine’s family.
Preceding Marco in death are his parents; his wife Josephine; two brothers, Robert and Peter Lubovich; four sisters, Kathryn “Dolly” Martin, Mildred O’Neil, Elizabeth Peterson and Pauline Dandrea.
No services are being held. A private burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
