Margie (Laughton) Horner

Margie Horner, 88, of Deerwood, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 17, 2022.  Funeral services for Margie will be held on Thursday September 22, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby.  Friends may begin calling on the day of the funeral at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be held at Deerwood Scandia Cemetery, Deerwood.

Margie was born June 9, 1934, in Perry Lake Township, to George & Ruth (Doust) Laughton Sr.  On May 4, 1953, she married Robert Horner in Emily.  Margie was a loving and caring mother.  She enjoyed taking care of her family and was a great cook.  Margie enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Margie is survived by her children:  Bev Horner of Crosslake, LeRoy (Rozella) Horner of Deerwood, Dwayne (Gloria) Horner of Aitkin, Wanda (Dave) Windorski of Brainerd, Bradley (Dawn) Horner of Crosby, Randy (Sherie) Horner of Wisconsin and Linda Gander of Wisconsin; 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; siblings:  Ed Laughton, Joe Laughton, Shirley Evans, Virginia Torgerson and sister-in-law Lois Laughton.

Preceding Margie in death are her parents; husband Robert; longtime friend Clifford Orcutt, children:  Debra Wynn, Joleene Horner, Sherri Moen and Pat Loftis, grandson Alan Horner and great grandson Cody Michael Roth.
