Marie Mildred Peterson age 98 of Cuyuna died on May 13, 2013 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born in Rabbit Lake Township on June 29, 1914 to Nicholai and Emma (Martin) Burgwald. Marie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Cedarbrook. She was a past Iron Hub 4H Club leader and a proud participant at Treasured Times in Crosby. Survivors include 2 sons, Conrad (Marilyn) Holmvig of Aitkin, Jerald (Edith) Holmvig of Crosby; 1 daughter, Eileen (Gary) Palm of New Brighton; daughter-in-law, LaVerne Holmvig of Deerwood; 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, 1st husband, Marvin Holmvig, 2nd husband Lloyd Bordwell, 3rd husband Harlan Peterson; 1 son, Stanley Holmvig; step son, Clayton Peterson; 7 brothers, Henry, William, Carl, Anton, Edward,. Victor and Ernie Burgwald; 4 sisters, Sophie Fisher and 3 infants. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, May 18, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Cedarbrook. Burial will be at St John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church of Cedarbrook from 5 to 8 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
