Mark Steven Halbleib age 59 of Crosslake died March 31, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 22, 1955 in Eau Claire, WI to Lyman and Helen (Warner) Halbleib.
Mark married Debra Jane Hager on February 14, 1984 in St. Paul. He was a retired owner of Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant and Bar and the Ox Lake Tavern both in Crosslake. He was also an area artist known for his woodcarvings and bird house collection.
Survivors include his wife Deb; 3 sons, Abraham (Kelly) Johnson of Northfield, Zachary (Katie) Johnson of Bemidji and Joshua (Pamela) Chevallier-Halbleib of White Bear Lake; 1 daughter Sarah (Ben) Halbleib Hanson of Osceola, WI; 1 brother, Terry (Jill) Halbleib of Eau Claire, WI; 1 sister Sue Geary of New Palestine, Ind; and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Time of Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Ideal Town Hall
35458 Butternut Point Road, from 2 to 5 pm with a prayer service at 4 pm.
