Marlene Joan Thomas

Marlene Joan Thomas, age 87 of Burnsville / Deerwood, passed in June 2022.   Born in Minneapolis, she attended (CHS) and college (UofM), and started her career as a floor manager at the department store, Daytons.  She was proud to be working into her 70’s in the field of accounting.

There is one more star sparkling brightly in the night now.  Immeasurably, she was known to her family and friends all, as cheerful, warm, fun, and always, kind, thoughtful and giving.

She is survived by her daughter and son, Jilene Thomas (Boston, MA) and Jeffrey (Julie) Thomas, grandchildren Natalie, Gabrielle (Cory) and Trevor Thomas (Henderson, MN), one sister Sharon (John) Fritz, (Lakeville, MN) and nephews, partners and children, Michael, Peggy, Mattias, Anna, Mindy, Daniel, Nathan, Scott and Larry.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Arthur and Agnes Anderson, Minneapolis, and her husband, Walt Thomas.

Private family services will be held. Donations can go to the Minnesota Heart Institute Foundation for the study and cure of heart and vascular diseases.  https://mplsheart.org
