Mary Judith Garcia

Mary Judith Garcia, age 71 of Crosby died on October 5, 2023 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born on March 15, 1952 in Crosby to Martin and Jean (Stockard) Kertzman.  Mary was a local cook working with the Emily Café, Camp Knutson and the Emily School.

Mary is survived by two sons, Justin (Kayla) Garcia of St. Cloud and Felix (Julie) Garcia of Des Moines, IA; two brothers, David (Katy) Kertzmann of Emily and Tim Kertzman of Emily; one sister Susan (John) Carrol of Seattle, WA; and three grandchildren.

Preceding Mary in death are her parents; husband, Justiliano Garcia; one daughter, Gina Fletcher and one sister, Patricia Dobbs.

A Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at St. Emily’s Catholic Church in Emily.  Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
