Mary Ada (Bastien) Landree, age 95, of Crosby joined her husband at the Lord’s Table on March 7, 2014, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.
Mary Ada was born to Peter Adler and Ada Mary (Bunker) Bastien on May 1, 1918, in
Stephenson, MI. After graduating from Stephenson High School, she served as administrative secretary first at the Michigan Agricultural Adjustment Administration and then to the SHS Superintendent in Stephenson. At Precious Blood Catholic Church in Stephenson on May 1, 1946, she was united in marriage to Hubert Henry Landree of Ingalls, MI. This church, which their parents helped construct, was where both Mary Ada and Hub were baptized, made their first communions, and were confirmed. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Crosby, MN, and began their family. Mary Ada was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby, the National Catholic Society of Foresters, St. Mary’s Court No. 854, the Council of Catholic Women, Crosby Women’s Club, Elks, and Band Mothers, and gave willingly of her time and talents whenever asked. She was a devoted spouse to Hub and an inspiration to her children, and she will truly be missed.

Zauhar, Nisswa; Mark (Eldora) Sartell; 25 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Tobin, Gillett, WI and brother, Paul (Frances) Bastien, Glasgow, KY, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert in 1993; her parents; siblings Margaret, Carl, Harold, and James; one grandson and one granddaughter-in-law.
Funeral services will be 10 am on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be on Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4:30 to 8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM and one hour prior to services at the church on Sat
