Melvin Ray Chapman

Melvin R. Chapman age 70 of Emily died on August 6, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Mount Vernon, IL to Harold and Jessie (Minor) Chapman. Melvin married Cheryl Stiner on April 4, 1967 in Emily.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Cheryl; one son, Melvin B. (Shannon) Chapman of Virginia; one daughter, Michelle (Frank) Martin of Emily; one brother, Bruce (Diana) Chapman of Moweaqua, IL; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Preceding Melvin in death are his parents; one great granddaughter, Mackinzie Gayhart and one sister, Brenda Huddlestun.

A Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Narrows Community Church in Outing. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily at a later date. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
