Melvin A. "Bud" Hawes age 80 of Deerwood died at the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin on October 15, 2016. He was born on February 7, 1936 in Cove to Charles and Josephine (Davis) Hawes. Bud married Mary Kneen on October 27, 1989 in Brainerd. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Bud is survived by his wife Mary; and one brother, Rick Fideldy of Deer River.
Preceding Bud in death are his parents; one son, Brian Hawes; three brothers, Wayne Hawes, Patrick and Daniel Fideldy and one sister, Betty Hawes.
No services are being held. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
