Michael Joseph Schweitzer

Michael Joseph Schweitzer, age 61 of Fairfield Township died at his home on August 18, 2021.  He was born on May 20, 1960 in St. Louis Park to Joseph and Bonnie (Johnson) Schweitzer.  Mike married Lisa Hoefner on November 6, 1981 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  He was a former employee of Fletcher Well Drilling in Emily; worked construction for Arrowhead Construction and the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 346; the Bible Baptist Church in Crosby; a former Emily First Responder and served two terms as the Fairfield Township Supervisor.

Mike is survived by his wife Lisa; his sons, Zedekia Schweitzer of Crosby, Malachi (Dr. Kristin Acestra) Schweitzer of Cashmere, WA and Nehemia Schweitzer of Crosby; one brother, Randy (Pauline) Johnson of Pine River; and one sister, Penny (Stan) Behm of Waupun, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Bible Baptist Church in Crosby.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with

the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
