Michael Douglas Sharp

Michael Douglas “Mike” Sharp age 73 of Garrison died March 16, 2017 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born in Cedar Lake Township, Minnesota on August 18, 1943 to William and Doris (Siers) Sharp. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mike married Bonnie Benjamin on June 9, 1962 in Aitkin. He was a former fork lift driver with Scorpion Snowmobiles in Crosby.
Mike is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, David (Beverly) Sharp and Michael (Dawn) Sharp all of Brainerd; one sister, Donna Cooper of Ukiah, CA; five brothers, Bill Sharp of Aitkin, Wayne (Carol) Sharp of St. Petersburg, Florida, Charles “Chas” (Reda) Sharp of Aitkin, Harry “Bud” (Jean) Sharp of Deerwood and Stanley (Helen) Sharp of Crosby; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Preceding Mike in death are his parents; two sisters, Louise Jarvela and Ruth Hanson and one brother, Jim Sharp.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Garrison Community Cemetery with full military honors given by the Aitkin Legion Post. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
