Michael Harlan Welch age 43 of Elk River died on January 29, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 12, 1968 in Waseca, MN to Robert and Carolyn (Sunde) Welch. He was employed as a sheet metal worker for Stremel Manufacturing with 12 years. Survivors include his father Robert Welch of Garrison; 1 daughter, Lorrica Welch of Dorchester, NB; 1 brother, Rob (Elizabeth) Welch of Otsego; 4 sisters, Brenda (Rey) Guzman, Diana (Cecil) Hogan, Jeana (Wes) Metzendorf and Cottie Lynn Apodaca, all of Phoenix, AZ. Preceding him in death is his mother, Carolyn. Services will be 2 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. A reception will follow at the VFW in Garrison.
