Mike Martin age 92 of Ironton died on October 16, 2016 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on November 29, 1923 in Ironton to George and Mary (Luncha) Martin. Mike was a WWII Navy veteran and was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton. He was a former Inland Steel employee and a retired electrician for Potlatch Corporation.
Mike is survived by one brother, Chester (Phyllis) Martin of North Oaks; step- brother, Denny Polich of Deerwood; one sister, Ann Murphy of Crosby and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mike in death are his parents; wife Dolly; one brother, Robert G. Martin; 1 sister, Dorthy Matthews; step brothers, Robert and Clifford Polich and one step sister, Rose Satovich.
Funeral services will 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
