Mildred Beatrice "Millie" Verdon age 88 of Crosby died on November 19, 2013 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on April 20, 1925 in Randall, MN to Frank and Lettie (Cantlebury) Post. Millie was a life member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. She was a retired employee of the Crosby Super Valu.
Survivors include 2 sons, Michael (Rita) Verdon of Dayton and Steven Verdon of Ironton; 2 daughters, Carol Ann (Darrel) Palmer of Nisswa and Susan (Paul) Durant of Jamestown, NC; 2 sisters-in-law, Lois Post of Brainerd and Myrtle Bollenbacher of Crosby; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Raymond; 4 brothers, Darwin, Glen, Fritz and Elmer Post; and 2 sisters, Ellen Kimball and Irene Rider.
Funeral services will be 11 am on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be held at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Sunday from 3 to 6 pm and at the church 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday.
