Rev. Nordean A. "Dean" Stolz

Rev. Nordean A. “Dean” Stolz, age 83 of Deerwood died at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on March 18, 2024.  He was born in Waseca on March 20, 1940 to Charles (Adeline) (Priebe) Stolz.  Dean married Janet Wilson in Pomona, CA on February 18, 1961.

He was ordained a LCMS pastor with 43 years of ministry, pastoring congregations in Ogilvie, MN, Pana, IL, Crosby and Iron Hub.

Pastor Dean is survived by his wife Janet; one son, Travis (Kristin) Stolz of Fairfax, VA; daughter-in-law, Christine Stolz of La Crosse, WI and five grandchildren.

Preceding Pastor Dean in death are his parents; one son, Jeff Stolz and a brother, Norman Stolz.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Iron Hub.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. If desired memorials are preferred to the Lutheran Heritage Foundation.
